Lyme Disease Awareness Walk/Run

Description: Come out and show your support for Lyme Awareness. Bring a picnic and make a day of it with the family at Chinguacousy Park! Explore the barn in the park, ponds, a splash pad, a petting zoo, lovely gardens, play park, and later in the afternoon a Midway.

Family Storytime

Description: (Birth to 5 years, Families): Family Storytime is designed to promote early literacy in an environment that encourages the love of reading and life-long learning. These programs will highlight the five early practices that are essential for children to develop in order to learn how to read and write. You will learn songs, fingerplays, and action rhymes, as well as be introduced to wonderful stories. Free of charge. Drop in. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.

Toddler Circle Time

Description: (Ages 1 to 2 ½ years): A fun, interactive session teaching parents songs and the art of storytelling for their toddlers. Shake, Rattle and Roll

Description: (18 months to 3 years): This movement and music program explores a variety of traditional and non-traditional music and musical instruments. Discover the different beats and patterns of musical styles such as classical music, jazz, Caribbean, African, Asian and contemporary music, poetry and verse.
