Child Care

ChildcareChoosing the right child care for our wee ones can be a daunting experience. Fortunately there are some wonderful community resources in place to make that decision a little easier. A few things that you may want to keep in mind when looking at child care options might be:

  • Provider(s) experience
  • Children’s age ranges
  • Number of children currently being cared for
  • Services offered (i.e. Can they accommodate for PA days, March Break etc.?)
  • Are they licensed?
  • Hours of operation
  • Late Policy (some licensed centres impose a hefty penalty for a late pick-up, some charging by the minute)
  • Location (i.e. Are you looking for something close to home, or close to work?)

While it is not the intent to list all the daycare providers in our community, it is the intent to provide more of stepping stone to the great resources that do just that.
