• Roots of Reading (Family)

  Description: (Ages 2 – 6 years): Roots of Reading program are designed to promote early literacy in an environment that encourages the love of reading and life-long learning. These programs will highlight the six early literacy skills that are essential for children to develop in order to learn how to read and write. You will learn songs, fingerplays, and action rhymes, as well as be introduced to wonderful stories. Free of charge * Drop-in * Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.

• Circle Time in Indigo Kids with the Brampton Neighbourhood Resource Centre

  Location: Chapters Brampton, 52 Quarry Edge, Brampton, ON

  Description: This program provides early exposure to language and music, helping to develop skills that improve a child’s ability to communicate, evaluate and make decisions. Emphasis will be placed on building your child’s ability to socialize, listen and communicate with others.

• Stars & Strollers

• Infant Mother Goose

  Description: (Ages 0 – 18mths): A fun, interactive session teaching parents songs and the art of storytelling for their infants. This program is held in cooperation with Bramalea-Gore-Malton-Springdale Ontario Early Years Centre. Registration required at Ontario Early Years Centre 150 Central Park Dr., Room 101. • Reading Buddies

  Location: Chinguacousy, Four Corners, Cyril Clark, South Fletcher’s Library Branches

  Description: (Grades JK – Grade 6): Reading Buddies is a reading mentorship program. Volunteers are available to read with your child for 30 minute sessions.
