Seconds Save Lives, a first aid and and safety training company are offering youth 10 to 15 a one-day course in Babysitting training!
Participants will learn:
- Simple first aid techniques, including how to use an Epi-Pen and Inhaler
- How to handle emergency situations and what to tell 911
- Strategies for a safe and happy environment for children
- How to deal with choking and breathing emergencies
- Skills to foster positive interaction with children of all ages
- Basic baby and child care skills
- Child safety and injury prevention
Additionally, participants will learn about their rights and responsibilities, tips on how to find babysitting jobs, tips on how to prepare a resume and business cards. On the day of the class, parents should send their children with a pen, small doll or teddy bear and a nut free lunch and water bottle.
In Brampton, The Babysitters Course is being offered at the Real Canadian Superstore, 85 Steeles Avenue West between 8:30 and 4:30 on the follow dates:
- Friday, May 11, 2012 (PD Day)
- Saturday, June 2, 2012
- Monday June, 11, 2912 (PD Day)
Additional Mississauga location/dates are also available. Classes are only $55 (HST included) and the course fee can be paid the morning of the course (cash only).
