Seconds Saves Lives, a first aid and safety training company is again offering a combined Home Alone course with First Aid Training, to prepare children on being alone at home for the first time. Children ages 8 to 12 will learn in a fun, interactive environment!
The four hour training session includes:
- simple first aid techniques
- how to deal with choking and breathing emergencies (ABC’s)
- how to handle emergency situations
- how to check for safety and dangers
- how to use a house key and entering the home
- how to stay busy when they are home alone
- how to make a small snack or meal
- home alone protocol and safety audit
- emergency phone list and when to call
- what to do about phone calls and if someone comes to the door
The Home Alone/People Savers First Aid course will help build the child’s confidence by equipping them with basic first aid skills and safety awareness knowledge. In Brampton, the following upcoming class times are offered at The Real Canadian Superstore (85 Steeles Avenue W., Brampton, ON):
